Terms & Conditions
- We are looking for photos in two categories:
A: Coronation Celebrations in Broadhempston
B: Village life in 2023
All photos must be taken within the parish boundary of Broadhempston
There are three age categories to submit images under
Under 10’s
10-16 year olds
17 +
- The competition is open to all residents of Broadhempston.
- Each entrant may enter up to 3 photographs.
- Closing date for entries is Wednesday 31st May 2023. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
- Winners will be announced on the village website www.broadhempston.org.uk, on social media and in the Parish News.
- By entering the competition entrants will be deemed to be bound by these rules.
- Entries should be submitted in the highest resolution possible via email to clerk@broadhempston-pc.gov.uk. Please include your name, address and a contact email address or telephone number and details of when and where each image was taken.
- Entrants under 18 will need the permission of their parent or guardian and their details will need to be provided with the entry. All communications will be made through the parent/guardian.
- Photographs must be the original work of the entrant and entrants confirm that they do not infringe the rights of any other individual or organisation. By entering their photographs entrants confirm that they are the sole owners of copyright in the images they submit and must have obtained the permission of any people whose image is clearly identifiable in the images (or their parents/guardians if those people are under 16).
- Entrants will retain the copyright in the photographs. By entering the competition grant Broadhempston Parish Council the right to use the images on their website or in other Parish Council publications (including online) in perpetuity. Copies of the images will also be given to the Broadhempston Archive and Local History group to be added to the Broadhempston Archive.
- 1 Editing: Cropping images and basic colour enhancement is fine but no composite images (i.e. photos made from more than one image or digital special effects) will be eligible for prizes.
- 1 When taking photos of flora or fauna entrants must not cause injury to or do anything to cause distress to any animal or damage to its habitat while taking a photograph. This includes the flying of drones which shoud not be flown too close to wildlife or their habitats or nests.
13.Photos will be judged by a panel of members of Broadhempston Parish Council and the Coronation Celebration Working Group.

o Technical ability
o Originality
o Relevance to the themes
