Broadhempston Youth Club

A fortnightly activity based youth club on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm. All young people in school year 6 to year 11 are welcome, entry is £1 with a signed parental consent form which can be obtained from the youth leader. The club is led by a nationally qualified and experienced youth worker with lots of help from young senior helpers and adult volunteers. There is a programme of sporting and physical activities in the hall including dodgeball, football, table tennis and volleyball, as well as craft, cooking, and games.

Broadhempston Youth Club started in January 2016 as an initial pilot of 6 activity sessions in the new village hall. The youth sessions were an opportunity for young people in Yr6 to Yr11 to meet with friends and try different games and activities. Since then, with an average of 30 young people attending each night, the youth club is becoming established as a regular opportunity for young people to socialise together in the village and try new activities. Broadhempston Youth Club is in the process of forming a management committee and has policies and procedures in place to safeguard young people. It is registered as a voluntary youth club with the county youth organisations Devon Youth Service and Young Devon.
